TLHC celebrates the 250th Anniversary of America’s Independence!

Mike Luecht welcomes you again to The Luecht Historical Collection TALKS section of the website.

For starters, we discuss whether Independence Day should be July 4th…or July 2nd. Interesting backstory to that!

We also hope people take this 250th Anniversary as an opportunity to step back and look at the arc of history of this great country and not simply focus on the present. We are a country that has gone through many cycles and we will continue to.

We then focus on the incredible determination of the founders and those who took such great personal risk to sign the Declaration of Independence. For them, it was honor and duty over fame and fortune. Country first.

That leads the discussion then to how the people in Washington today compare to those great founders.
